News: Patch 4.3 has been released and with this patch release comes a lot of changes to spells and talents for warlocks.   Warlock Spell Changes: Shadow Bolt - new spell effect. Soul Fire - scales with 72.6% of spell power(up from 62.5%). Suffering (Voidwalker ability) - now works like the hunter pet talent Taunt.   Warlock Talent Changes: Affliction Jinx - increases the target’s rage, energy, focus, or runic power cost of abilities, rather than reducing their generation. Demonology Master Demonologist - grants a base bonus of 18.4% and 2.3% per mastery(up from 16% and 2% per mastery). Impending Doom - is now also activated by Soul Fire.   Destruction Fire and Brimstone - now increases the damage of Incinerate and Chaos Bolt on Immolated targets by [5% / 10% / 15%](up from [2% / 4% / 6%]). Burning Embers - deals damage equal to [25% / 50%] of Soul Fire and Imp’s Firebolt(up from [15% / 30%]). Also the damage cap has been increased. Shadowburn - now deals Shadowflame damage, instead of Shadow damage. Improved Soul Fire - now lasts 20 seconds(up from 15 seconds).   Warlock Tier 13 Armor Bonuses   Warlock Tier 13, 2 Piece Bonus - The duration of your Doomguard and Infernal summons is increased by [20 seconds for Demonology | 30 seconds for non-Demonology] and the cooldown of of those spells is reduced by 4 minutes. Warlock Tier 13, 4 Piece Bonus - Soulburn grants a 10% increase to your spell power for 10 sec, and Soul Fire cast with Soulburn active now grants a Soul Shard.

Warlock Affliction Builds (updated for 4.3)

 

32/3/6 Warlock Affliction Raiding Build - This is the default raiding build for affliction warlocks.

 

31/0/10 Warlock Affliction Build - With full pandemic and full bane.

 

Stat priority:

Hit (until 17%) > Haste > Int > Mastery = Spellpower > Crit

 

Spell Rotation Priority:

• Corruption
  • Haunt
  • Unstable Affliction
  • Bane of Agony(wait for it to drop off before reapplying)
  • Shadow Embrace (IE: Shadow bolt if its not at 3 stacks)
  • Drain Soul when mob is below 25% health.
  • Shadow Bolt or Drain Life

 

At high haste levels (1400+) you can replace glyph of Life Tap

 

Demonology Builds (updated for 4.3)

Both of the following builds are very similar. You basicly have the same build and have 2 points you can put into either: improved summoning, demonic aegis, improved health funnel or aura of foreboding, none of these will help your dps but they may help increase survivability a little.

0/31/10 Warlock Demonology Build #2 - With aura of foreboding.

 

Stat priority:

Hit (until 17%), Int > Haste > Crit > Mastery

 

Spell Rotation Priority:

Improved Soul Fire (If target is above 80%, make sure this buff is up)

Metamorphosis

Demon Soul

Immolate

Hand of Gul'dan

Bane of Doom

Immolation Aura

Corruption

Shadowflame

Incinerate (If molten core is up)

Soul Fire (If Decimation is up)

Shadow Bolt

 

At high haste levels (1400+) you can replace glyph of Life Tap

 

Warlock Destruction Builds (updated for 4.3)

 

3/7/31 Destruction Build 4.3 - This is the best build for destruction warlocks as of 4.3.

 

Your destruction build should look like this.

 

Stat Priority:

Int > To Hit (Until 17%) > Haste > Crit > Mastery

 

Spell Rotation Priority:

Improved Soul Fire (If target is above 80%, make sure this buff is up)

Immolate

Conflagrate

Bane of Doom

Shadowflame

Corruption

Chaos Bolt

Soul Burn -> Soul Fire

Soul Fire (If Empowered Imp has procced)

Incinerate

Notes:

At high haste levels (1400+) you can replace glyph of Life Tap

You should use /cast [@pettarget]Firebolt macros
